Because forging and cooling structural steel wheel forgings with low alloying element content, it is easy to form coarse ferrite, while for structural steel wheel forgings with high alloying element content, it is easy to form coarse unbalanced structure after forging and cooling. After research and experiments, as long as the cooling rate after forging is properly controlled, the precipitation of coarse ferrite and the formation of non-equilibrium structure can be prevented, so as to obtain the same effect as reheating and normalizing. For the normalizing of waste heat of steel wheel forgings with different alloy elements, the controlled cooling process after forging should be determined through experiments.
